This, 2, is ReFabulous.

I'm easing back into blogging with a simple post.  I realized this morning that I never formally introduced you to my new Etsy shop!  Friends, meet ReFabulous2!

and I have LOTS of help.

Back in September, I opened an Etsy shop for cool vintage finds (the ones that I can bear to part with.)  I curate an assortment of home goods, such as these. . . .

I love these cozy, handmade afghans, especially the granny squares!

vintage alarm clock... and it still works!

And I also list some of my fabric hoard stash in the shop.  I bundle my remnants, scraps, and overflow fabrics together (new, reclaimed, vintage, designer, generic, rare, common, big and small) and offer them as unique, one-of-a-kind, instant textile collections!  It feels great sharing the fabric wealth with others, and knowing that new, awesome things are being created from my fabrics.  And I still have sooooo much more to press and bundle. . . .

eco-friendly fabric bundles... more bundles coming this week!

This little shop has been doing well so far, and I'm loving the excuse to go thrift shop stalking for more treasures!  I'd love it if you would drop by my shop and take a peek, and say hello on my new facebook fan page.  And here's a little welcome-and-hello coupon code for you, too. . .

HAPPY20

Use the code and receive 20% off your total order (excludes shipping.)  Feel free to share with friends and family if you'd like, and it's good from now until Sunday!

See you soon! :)

Easing in

I've been feeling a wee bit overwhelmed these days, with sick kids (again!) and no sleep (still!)  I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, with 3 of my Monkey Teenagers now working in the public sector, and coming in contact with any number of assorted germs and whatnot, and bringing them home to share with the rest of us.  Lately, any time I even thought about sewing, or writing, or posting anything at all, my heart would get all tight and panicky -- it suddenly becomes all TOO MUCH.  My new mantra:*

I decided to back off, take my time, do what I can, and let things run their course.  So, a big thank-you to those of you still around to read this!  I can't promise more posts, more frequent posts, or any posts at all, but I'll do my best when time allows.  OK, I can actually promise ONE post, only because I've already written it.  It will be up tomorrow.  YAY!

*I spotted this saying on pinterest, and I was immediately moved by it.  It's so simple.  Instantly years  of self-punishing perfectionism began to melt.  I HAD to make this, so I could see it and constantly be reminded.  So I imperfectly painted the words, on imperfect vintage fabric, and hung it on my imperfect wall.  I love it.

See you tomorrow.  For real.
